"I speak fluent developer. I speak fluent customer."
Twenty-one years building the connective tissue between ideas and operations — media agencies, real estate, hospitality, and 25+ aircrafts turned around a day on the ramp at CMH. Most businesses need someone who can do both ends. That's the job I keep taking.
Available for select consulting work in brand, digital, and operations.
Every role on this page has asked the same question in a different accent: how do you keep a fast-moving operation honest, on schedule, and still human?
I'm a Fort Myers, Florida-based operator with a Dutch bachelor's degree in Communications & Multi Media Design — where I majored in J. J. Garrett's usability method for enhancing content management systems, alongside Prince2 project methodology and ITIL change management — a Florida real estate license, and two decades of building things that had to work the first time — dance events across Europe and America, a web hosting company, a multichannel media agency, a portfolio of investment properties, and now the daily choreography of getting United, Air Canada, and Breeze aircrafts off the ground on time.
I founded De Clercq Media Group in 2010 and ran it for thirteen years, eventually handing the Dutch operation to fifteen employees in equal shares when I emigrated in 2014 — nobody left without an income. Since relocating to the U.S., I've superintended construction sites, sourced distressed property across Florida and Georgia through Exaltre LLC, and coordinated ground operations for 50+ ramp agents at CMH.
On the side, I build things that are more mine: a vending business, an online Guyanese specialty foods store, and — next, probably — a natural-ingredient ice cream shop in North Fort Myers. Many published musical works round out the musical production habit that started all of this. Between the passport and the paperwork, I'm just as able to work on either side of the Atlantic without missing a beat.
Two lanes, both built on the same habit: carrying a project from idea to something that actually runs, not just a plan for one.
For food & beverage and conscious-living brands
Brand identity, website and e-commerce builds, content and SEO — the full path from "we have an idea" to "we have a store people can actually buy from." Built from running Guyanese Snacks and helping start East Fork Creek, a hydroponic lettuce farm, from the ground up.
For small businesses that have outgrown DIY
Rebuilding the sites, CMS, and workflows a growing business has patched together for years — plus the unglamorous automation work: I turned a 40-hour manual scheduling process into a 2-minute one for my own employer. If a process is costing you hours it shouldn't, that's the fix I bring.
Everything I've built or currently run, laid out the way I look at a departure board every morning — where it's headed, and whether it's still in the air.
The roles, in order — each one taught the next what to look out for.
Primary liaison between United, Air Canada, and Breeze flight crews and ground teams, coordinating 25+ aircrafts turnarounds a day — de-icing, fueling, lavatory service, and load-and-balance sign-off — while directing 50+ ramp agents and running safety inspections under FAA protocol.
Sourcing distressed off-market properties across Florida and Georgia, running BRRRR and fix-and-flip strategies through a contractor network, and handling disposition to investors and local buyers as a licensed Realtor.
On-site first and last, running short-term schedules across trades, catching problems before they became delays, and translating long-range project planning into daily execution.
Helped build a hydroponic lettuce farm from the ground up during the early days of COVID — handling graphics, marketing, and a large share of sales, while also doing the physical build: laying pipe, pulling electrical conduit, running water lines, digging holes for large fish tanks, building lettuce beds, and more. In short: literally from the ground up. The farm was later destroyed by Hurricane Ian.
Built a multichannel B2B communications agency from a brick-and-mortar shop into a fully digital operation, then expanded through acquisition — web hosting, event production, an online print shop, a CMS company — leading up to 50 staff at peak.
Managed text and visual content across all GGD Haaglanden websites, advising on design, navigation, accessibility, and SEO, plus social content and the GGD-wide content calendar. Led digital strategy on the HPV Campaign, a national-level public health initiative.
Founded and grew a web hosting and co-location business to an 8-person team, sold to EK-media in 2015 ahead of relocating to the U.S.
Founded and ran an electronic dance event company booking international DJs across Europe and America — the first business, and the one that taught the rest.
A few notes from people who've actually worked the project with me — collected over the years, kept short.
"Jürgen is a very creative and detail-oriented professional. His personality and experience lift the creative level of the whole group — and he's never afraid to dirty his hands to make the work environment better."
"Jurgen is a multilingual dreamcatcher — a stand-up go-getter who gets inside your ideas and makes them reality. He keeps a strong focus on the budget and continually performs above expectations."
"As innovative as he is enthusiastic, Jurgen tends to spot trends before they happen. His solid work ethic and heartfelt passion give any project a boost — and his excitement for new ideas never fails to inspire the people around him."
Writing tops the skills list for a reason — it's the oldest habit on this page, and it started as music, produced and released as Nickolas Quartez.
Licenses and certifications collected along the way.
